Accordingly, foreigners entering Vietnam will not be required to undergo COVID-19 testing and quarantine procedures. Vietnamese citizens returning to the country will also be subject to this new policy of the Government.

Along with this new Vietnam Covid entry requirement, the Government of Vietnam has also resumed visa exemption policies for citizens of 25 countries, including most ASEAN countries, South Korea, Sweden, the UK, Spain, etc. The visa exemption program will allow citizens of these countries to stay in Vietnam for up to 45 days without requiring a visa.

If staying beyond the permitted visa-free days, travelers from the aforementioned countries can apply for a visa exemption at the Vietnam Immigration Department.

For countries not eligible for visa exemption upon entry into Vietnam, travelers can still apply for a visa. The quickest and most convenient way to obtain a visa is through the online application process. Within 3 working days, travelers will be issued an electronic visa valid for 30 days, with a visa fee of 25 USD.
